I don't really have a quote to match up with his expression. Originally I was going to draw Dave, but then I had a sudden change of "heart". (lame pun is lame, I know)

I did a rant about Jade on her headshot, so I might as well rant about Dirk here(though it's most likely going to be considerably shorter and not quite as well written). Feel free to ignore my ramblings from this point on. Warning: Rant may contain spoilers for those who haven't caught up in Homestuck yet. Just sayin. Dirk has the best hair. I love his hair. I would marry his hair if I could. No lie. And I love the tattoo. Hella yes! And he's just friggin hot. Sexy Striders man. It's a family trait. A hot mechanic to boot. I love the fact that he can make really elaborate and pretty advanced robotics. That's pretty dang epic. But I also feel really bad for him. I mean, some of that is more from reading a certain fanfic about what it might have been like while he was growing up on his own (link here=> Goodnight Moon it's a really good read, but it'll prolly mess with your feels pretty badly....), but you have to admit it probably really was tough not having anyone there. Even Roxy at least had the carapacians in the neighborhood. He had to build robots to have company. I also find that he has an interesting, and rather complicated sense of self reflection. Different versions of himself and yet all infuriatingly(in his opinion) too similar to the original. I also kind of like how he always ends up in these exasperating situations and he eventually just gets to the point where he just gives in and begrudgingly goes with it(i.e. ARquiussprite and Roxy trying to kiss him). And I absolutely LOVE how nonchalant he is as a Trickster. The one sane one among the COMPLETE INSANITY THAT IS THE TRICKSTERS. And when they were alchemizing. I just lolled at him in the background. And then when they alchemized the "unbreakable katana" everyone else's expressions were priceless. "yeah this is just Dirk's sword". Did I mention that I love Dirk's godtier? I honestly think that if anyone can pull off wearing pantaloons, it's motherglubbin Dirk Strider. Not to mention the fact that he can rip souls from bodies. That is pretty flippin epic. (Especially considering he used it on Aranea after she killed Jade. Sure that wasn't his reasoning for attacking her, but it doesn't mean I wasn't cheering at the screen for him to get that spider8itch(yes I still have a grudge against her)) I also had a good laugh at the Pricess Bride reference in his quote"I am Brain Ghost Dirk. You kissed my boyfriend. Prepare to die". I'm still kinda sad that Dave and Dirk still haven't been able to officially meet yet, and that their only conversation was all glitchy.

I can't really think of anything else to add to this rant other than: He kicks some serious butt. That's all there really is to say on the matter
I might actually do one of these for Dave tomorrow. I could prolly put together a much better rant  about him.
